One not-so-consecutive year of blogging has passed. It was a year ago this past weekend that I was inspired to start a blog following BlogHer 08. What a year it has been!
I’ve changed jobs three time, moved once and found myself not knowing what to write about since I don’t think anyone (but my mom) reads my blog on a regular basis. That being said, I learned a lot in this past year and want to share a few fun tidbits with all of you:
- It’s hard! Committing to something with absolutely no financial reinforcement is tough. I respect all those people who blog for a living (paid or unpaid) for their dedication.
- Love what you write about! Pick a topic that means a lot to you. I change my mind a lot and a baking blog would probably be most appropriate to my interests right now but technology will always be a staple in my life.
- Get ready! Cause no matter how small your circle of readers is, ever now and again you’ll get a nice little surprise on your blog. For me, that was the Chris Pirillo comment all those months ago. Seeing a comment from someone I respect was amazing.
